Under normal circumstances, the college basketball season would've ended last week with the playing of the Final Four in Atlanta as the National Championship game was scheduled for Monday, April 13th. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) the season came to a close about a month ago, dimming the lights on the "Big Dance" well before one shining moment was able to make its annual appearance.
Typically in the week following the National Championship numerous prospects with the potential to play at the next level will declare for the NBA Draft, as the deadline for players to declare as early entrants this year is tentatively set for April 26th.
Plenty of prospects have since declared for this year's draft subsequent to the cancellation of the college basketball season, with a portion of those players names being held in prominence as probable first round picks despite the dubiety that surrounds the upcoming draft.
As the NBA season is currently suspended indefinitely it remains to be seen if and when it will resume. The pending announcement will likely have an effect on the pre-draft process and the happening of the 2020 NBA Draft — that for the time being is scheduled for June 25th.
Meanwhile, this iteration of the 2020 NBA Mock Draft is made to serve as a sample for specific players who will likely witness their name being announced whenever the actual occurrence of the draft does take place.
Without any further ado Matt's Draft Journal presents its "Post Final Four 2020 NBA Mock Draft" that features 30 picks representing the first round. The construction of the 30 spots are derived from Tankathon.com using their 'Draft Lottery Simulator' that is likely to be more of an accurate reflection of an actual NBA Draft as opposed to directly taking the records of each team in reverse order as reflected by the current standings of the NBA.
