Spencer Torkelson of Arizona State is expected to be the #1 overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft


The 2020 MLB Draft will begin tonight at 7 PM EST as both ESPN and MLB Network provide coverage of the event, which will be held virtually this year from the location of Secaucus, NJ. 

This edition of the draft will be delivered in a unique manner as the rounds have been reduced from 40 to just five, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Tonight will have the top 37 of 160 picks announced as the first round and Competitive Balance Round A take place, with the second through fifth rounds occurring tomorrow beginning at 5 PM.
