NBA WEDNESDAY: 2022 NBA DRAFT COMBINE INVITES

Invitations for the upcoming NBA Draft Combine — scheduled for May 18th-22nd — were made official, revealing the 77 prospects voted on by executives and front office personnel to be evaluated in earnest prior to the 2022 NBA Draft. The list of 44 prospects chosen for the G-League Elite Camp — set to take place May 16th and 17th — were also announced, which will allow for additional deserving prospects to be seen by NBA scouts and other significant members of organizations — as well as by teams in the G-League. Individuals who perform well during the 2-day event will have the opportunity to earn entry to the subsequent NBA Draft Combine, as decided by the aforementioned areas of operations.

During the NBA Draft Combine and G-League Elite Camp the players who decide to participate will undergo physical testing in reference to their vertical jump, bench press, 3/4 (court) sprint, and lane agility. Also, prospects will undergo numerous skills and shooting drills that serve to display the dexterity of each individual's offensive ability and skill-set. Moreover, members of each team's front office personnel will also have the ability to evaluate players in live game action — in the form of 5 on 5 scrimmages. Aside from that aspect, they'll be able to become more familiar with them off the floor through interviews with those of interests individually and also get a feel for them being a student of the game.
